Cameron Tharmaratnam
Cameron is a South Asian-Irish actor and writer from Belfast, Northern Ireland, currently based in London. A graduate of the prestigious Neighbourhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, his work spans stage, screen, and film festivals internationally.
His short comedy French Picnic (2021) screened at Art of Brooklyn, Athens International, and Atlanta Shortsfest, while his documentary Where You Really From? (2022) premiered at the Belfast Film Festival. His debut play The Worst Person I Know premiered at The New York Theatre Festival, and his full-length play The Apple Orchard was developed through The Lyric Theatre Belfast’s New Playwrights programme, with readings in London, New York, and Belfast.
Cameron is currently developing original writings for stage and screen, including the short horror Runner, now in pre-production with East St. Productions.
