Originally from Leeds, she trained at Drama Studio London and has built a rich, multi-disciplinary career across stage, screen, and musical theatre. Her theatre credits span from Off-Broadway to the West End, including standout roles in African Gothic (Park 90), Red Sea Fish (Brits Off Broadway), Merchant of Venice (Duke of York’s/Globe Rome), and The Bacchae (Open Air Tour).
A strong mezzo soprano and skilled actor-musician, Janna also plays violin, recorder, and guitar. On screen, she’s known for her fearless range—whether portraying a struggling addict, escaped psychiatric patient, comedy air hostess or “Yummy Mummy”—Janna brings nuance, boldness, and a sharp ear for accents to every role.
